Heussner Optics was founded
in 1975 by George Heussner,
an optical specialist trained in precision optical fabrication
techniques by Zeiss Optics, Germany. Mr. Heussner has over 45
years experience in the manufacture of precison optics and other
components for optical, medical, microelectronics and aerospace
companies. Customers include Zeiss, Bell and Howell, Union Carbide,
Hughes Aircraft, Visix, Becton Dickinson in addition to many,
many others.

MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT:
Manufacturing equipment includes Blanchard grinders, coarse and
precision saws, centering tools, precision edgers, and a variety
of polishing systems. Heussner Optics has the capability to manufacture
a wide range of precise parts from as small as one-half millimeter
(0.020 inch) to well over 300 millimeter (12 inches) square. We
can fabricate components to 1/20 wavelength and to 1 second of
arc.
TEST and MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS:
Measurement Systems include Fizeau and Twymen Green Interferometers,
autocollimators, surface measurement tools, very precise thickness
measurement systems and numerous optical flats and test plates.
